I once visited the raisin capital of the world, and the man cried out that there was nothing to see here – go home.
I was confused by his emphasis on going home.
A strange greeting came from a man who knew everything that he knew and much more if he chose to speak.
He was a clever individual who lashed out and then lapsed into a state of utter confusion, but this was a place where things are rarely done and where it is more important to choose your enemy than your friend.
Come look at this mess that you made – degrading the staunches of better men than I.
You see, here is the seam that leads to the place where the sky and the earth come together for a time. From this time, tall trees grow from the mountains, and from the mountains springs the water, and from the water springs the desert. And then you are at this station in life, and then you are nowhere to be seen.
Remember, this was not a test; this was your life, and in this life, you are wandering around in the darkness and seeking a solution, still not understanding that you are standing in the light.
Fearless and conspicuously missing is the man in the trench coat, who seems bewildered by the rain coming undone.
It is just a thought, and that is what happened when I once stood on the ground and felt like I would be there forever until the once-in-a-while came along.
